Sometimes it doesn’t take much to make a big difference. In Kisumu, Kenya, the artisans of The Village Creative prove that something wonderful can be created from seemingly useless material. They transform old car tires into unique, long-lasting sandals, creating not only a sustainable product, but also a livelihood for their community.
This project is more than just upcycling. It is the basis for a sustainable future in the region. Every sandal that is created strengthens local craftsmanship. Every pair of shoes that finds its way from Kisumu to you helps to finance sustainable tourism locally – a goal that is actively promoted by the Adventure Ecotrips partner program.

The price is entirely up to you. The pure production costs per sandal are €15. Everything you pay over and above this goes directly towards sustainable tourism offers in the Kisumu region. Your donation therefore makes an immediate and direct difference.
